Grass Skiing and Gulaschsuppe

We had few days break during Easter holiday madness and with the sky filling with ominous grey clouds we decided to run away! We jumped in trundling Trudy and headed over to Saas Fee in Switzerland to visit some friends. The weather was much the same. There was less snow than there was in Chamonix so Dan decided to try grass skiing, it didn’t go very well! It was even stickier than the heavy spring snow. Friends, swiss wine, heart warming gulaschsuppe, rösti and yummy raclette more than made up for any weather shortcomings!

We arrived back to a Chamonix valley which had been dusted with snow. Although winter appeared to have returned there are still little signs of spring.
